SEO and a online commercial intent boost your sales?



The first step in SEO, before you get any links to your site, is to figure out what keywords you want your web site to show up for when people go to Google, Yahoo or Bing and perform a search. For instance, if you run a web site about “make money online", and you want the search engines to show your web site when people search for “make money online", there are steps that you need to take in order for that to happen. Just building a web site and putting great information on it will not result in the search engines sending anybody to your site to buy your products or click on your ads.

SEO is not complicated. In fact, To rank for anything in Google only in one sentence, "Get lots of links to your page whose link text contains the keywords you want to rank for". If you want to be number one when somebody searches Google for the keywords “make money online", get lots and lots of links to your site that contain “make money online" in the link text.

Of course, there's a bit more to it than that (which I'll get into), but that's SEO in a nutshell. Links are king. Get lots of links and you'll rank well. But before you ever get a single link to your web site, there's some research that has to be done to make sure you're efforts to rank for a given set of keywords aren't wasted.

Using that tool, is easy: just put the keywords like "online money" to test into the box, click the “Go” button. for instance. The tool returned a “0.72” probability of “commercial intention.” What that means is that there's a 72% chance that somebody who types “online money” into a search engine is looking to buy a “online money” products. That's perfect! the online commercial intent is strong, with a confidence level larger than 0.5.

This tool searches display two levels of commercial intent: informational and transactional. This tool can detect customer intent to acquire information or to purchase products based on their search queries or recently visited URLs. , This tool can be used to find keywords that are commercial but have low ad coverage. From a SEM point of view, it is useful to find these keywords as they have low bid density (low price), but high commercial value. Similarly, for an advertizing engine, this can help increase ad relevancy by displaying fewer ads if a keyword has low online commercial intent.
